Adrian Lee Yang Kwang Died after A Week in Coma

Adrian Lee Yang Kwang with four other friends had been playing volleyball that afternoon around 2pm before they decided to take a dip in the sea.

Lifeguards found him 10 minutes later, about seven metres from shore and dragged him to safety. They tried to revived the unconscious man by giving him cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, but to no avail. He had been in coma since at the SGH.

Adrian Lee Yang Kwang nearly drowned at Siloso Beach on Christmas Day and died on New Year’s Day, after a week in coma in the Intensive Care Unit at the Singapore General Hospital.

Although Mr Lee, a former dragon boat rower who worked for the OCBC Bank, was known to be a competent swimmer and had rowed for the National University of Singapore’s team , it is believed that he suffered a seizure in the water – as he had a history of suffering from fits.
