The Amazing Race Asia’s fourth season application is open. Are you ready to sign up for the US$100,000 prize?

On 17 October 2005, CBS gave other countries the chance to franchise The Amazing Race. The Asian cable TV network AXN Asia was among the first to acquire the rights to produce a version for its territories. The show is produced by Australian television production company ActiveTV, for AXN, in association with Buena Vista International Television-Asia Pacific (BVITV-AP). The host for the show is Singapore based Chinese-American actor Allan Wu.

The ultimate prize is US$100,000, whilst the American show gives away US$1 million. The general manager of SPE Networks-Asia which runs AXN, Ricky Ow explained the smaller prize, saying, “It is not really about the money but the adventure and opportunity to be in one of the world’s greatest reality shows”.

Each of ten teams on The Amazing Race Asia is composed of two individuals who have some type of relationship to each other. Only a total of 60 participants joined as of now in every The Amazing Race Asia seasons.

The “roxxxy robot” technology was developed by Douglas Hines of  True Companion, an electrical engineer and computer scientist who formerly worked in the artificial intelligence lab at AT&T Bell Laboratories.

Roxxxy, the sexy robot, is a completely anatomically correct and customizable companion (from features to hair color) that exhibits different personalities and responds to touch.

Depending on your mood, you can assign the robot different personalities such as Frigid Farrah or Mature Martha, who will respond differently based on the personality you choose. For example, if you hold Mature Martha’s hand, she may say “I love holding hands,” whereas if you touch Frigid Farrah she may say “What are you going to do with that hand?”

The coolest part about the robot is that you can build your own custom personality based on your preference or tweak an existing personality. Once you develop a personality you really like, members can share it with friends on True Companion’s website. The website sync also makes the robot compatible for updates and new features or sexy quirks such as a robot that responds to a S&M safety word. More like a social networking site, True Companion’s site will have a monthly fee.

The 2 1/2 year project was estimated to cost around 1 million dollars and the robot itself will cost from $7,000 to $9,000 depending on the level of customization you choose. Do you think Roxxxy Robot is just for sex or life partner?

Singapore’s beach countdown 2009 party is over; but the news is not.

According to STOMP forum, a woman was harassed at the beach countdown party 2009:

A woman clad in a bikini was openly molested by at least four men but no one came to her aid. Several STOMPers highlighted this video and said that this occurred at the countdown beach party at Sentosa.

WTF! People were there celebrating! But these guys are too…(someone help me get the right word). Feel very bad after watching this harassment video. I think she was scared and did not know how to respond.

I’m curious who submit the video to STOMP; he / she really got enough time to watch and video record the woman being harassed at Singapore’s beach countdown but had no time to help or call the police!

An unreleased track titled “Another Day” from Michael Jackson has just leaked to the internet.

Jimmy James Owen Sullivan a.k.a. The Rev, from the rock-band Avenged Sevenfold, died today, according to a statement on the band’s official website.

What was the reason of Avenged Sevenfold’s 28-year-old drummer James Sullivan “the Rev” early death? It is still unknown.

Actress, “Ramen Girl”, Brittany Murphy died this morning, Sunday December 20th 2009, after reportedly going into full cardiac arrest early Sunday in Los Angeles.

She was unable to be revived by paramedics who were called to her home and pronounced dead on arrival at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Brittany Murphy was just 32 years old.

Brittany Murphy became famous for her role in the movie Clueless (1995) but went on to star in many movie roles including Girl Interrupted (1999), 8 Mile (2002), Don’t Say a Word (2001), Ramen Girl (2008) and Just Married (2003) with Ashton Kutchner.
