Miss Tania Lim beat hot pick Annabel Tan and was crowned Miss Singapore Universe 2010 on 28th May 2010 and will be trained by celebrity coach Christina Liang. She will go on to represent Singapore at Miss Universe 2010.

About Miss Singapore Universe

Miss Singapore Universe is an annual beauty contest held in Singapore and organised by Derrol Stepenny Promotions to select the country’s representative to the Miss Universe pageant. Between 2001 and 2007, the contest was telecast ‘live’ by the local television station Mediacorp’s Channel 5. Prior to 2000, the contest was organised by Metromedia Promotions Pte Ltd.

Singapore has been sending representatives to Miss Universe contest as early as 1954. The island city-state republic has been represented at Miss Universe every year since 1966. The country had its first semi finalist when Kathie Lee Lee Beng secured the 8th position, the highest ever placement Singapore attained when the pageant was held in St. Louis in 1983. In 1987 when Singapore played host to the Miss Universe pageant, home favourite Marion Nicole Teo came in at the 9th place.

Lie to Me is one of my favorite American TV series that premiered on the Fox network on January 21, 2009.

In the show, Dr. Cal Lightman (Tim Roth) and his colleagues in The Lightman Group accept assignments from third parties (commonly local and federal law enforcement), and assist in investigations, reaching the truth through applied psychology: interpreting microexpressions, through the Facial Action Coding System, and body language.

Fox built an interesting website for “Lie to Me” with demonstration of micro-expressions on the faces:

Sometimes people hide their feelings and emotions; but, you can tell from the micro-expressions just like what the tagline of the TV series says, “The Truth is Written All Over our Faces”.

The music video “Telephone” was filmed by soldiers of the 82nd Airborne Division inside a garage with costumes made of tape and belts and received so far over 2.6 million views.

This is a couple guys located in Afghanistan, that re-made the music video by Lady Gaga….Telephone. Prepare yourself for a fantastical journey.
Right now this is the temporary version, we have more scenes to cut, and edit, however with guys always on mission it is harder to film than you think.

The video has been described as “the best Gaga tribute ever” by fans, with demands for more such videos.

Lady GaGa amputated leg another joke? No. It’s true.

Lady GaGa astounded fans and TV audiences Friday when she announced that she has had one of her legs amputated below the knee purely for fashion purposes. Crazy, huh? Who in the world would get his or her legs amputated just to be “different”? Only Lady GaGa.

She definitely achieved her objective. Her record company even paid for the operation and her new video will showcase the new “amputation” when filming begins in three weeks.

I don’t think it’s necessary. What was she thinking? How hard would you try to make a difference?
