HDB is continuing to offer convenience for the public by launching an Android version with a suite of new services, including registration for HDB Resale Seminars for resale flat buyers and sellers and the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Courses for real estate Salespersons, maintenance feedback for industrial properties, push notifications for Build-To-Order (BTO) sales launches (iPhone only), and a feature to show nearby HDB car parks (iPhone only).
Among these services, carpark services are quite noticeable. It is estimated that 90,000 motorists will benefit from the services. No need to visit or queue at the HDB branches to carry out season parking tickets. Season tickets can be renewed in less than 2 minutes using mobile devices. Also, active carpark information can be accessed.
First launched in Oct 2010, Mobile@HDB have been making efforts to deliver a winning service to customers. The iPhone App was developed in April 2011 and a total of 120,000 iPhone users have downloaded it since its launch. Given the rising popularity of Android-based phones in Singapore, this new version of HDB is expected to provide convenience for approximately 120,000 Android users.
