In today’s gloomy climate, the need for uplifting live music is greater than ever. Fortunately, this spring sees the launch of House Discopark: a revolutionary concert series that brings many of the world’s most exciting electronic live acts to Singapore for the very first time.
Tuned-in to Europe and America’s latest musical trends, House Discopark will showcase the future of music by importing the best emerging artists from around the world. By placing cutting-edge bands AND DJs on the same bill, House Discopark combines the spectacle of a live performance with the energy of a packed club, completely redefining the live music experience.
Launching in April, House Discopark talentspots and imports the best emerging talent of our times. For their first show, they’re flying in disco impresario Kelley Polar (Environ, US), a violin-wielding prodigy talent who has produced critically acclaimed albums such as “I Need You to Hold on…” (2008) and who is taking US and UK by storm with his upbeat electronic pop disco.
His first live performance is not to be missed. Following him will be Knightlife from Australia, a disco dancing-driven DJ extraordinaire that has toured with Cut Copy. Supporting these international acts will be homegrown soul electronic trio Cosa Nostra – truly upcoming and talent-filled alongside a DJ collective yet to be revealed.
House Discopark combines the concert and club night experience to create something truly unique. After Kelley’s performance, the party heats up with Cut Copy DJ-of-choice Knightlife, who closes the night with his irresistible brand of sun-soaked electro.

House Discopark
The Concept
House Discopark truly is the first of its kind – a combined concert and club night where international bands and artists transform House at Dempsey Hill into a musical paradise where guests can socialise, dance and discover.
The Inspiration
We believe the 80’s revival has lost a little in translation. We’ve got the fluorescent colour schemes, the new-wave posing and the abrasive electro… but where is the love? House Discopark offers all the vitality of the sun-streaked, multicolour decade without the attitude and with plenty of added zeal. We aim to recreate the experience of the era’s best shows and parties in one of Singapore’s most beautiful locations.
The Sound
Harnessing the relentless energy of the 80’s cherished musical heritage, House Discopark draws inspiration from disco, synth pop and everything in-between. Embracing the communal, feel-good spirit of old-school New York, Chicago and Detroit, we will showcase only the finest new music with the spirit of disco pumping through our veins.
The Setting
House Discopark makes the most of House’s enviable forest setting. Both the headline performance and clubnight are staged in our newly-converted club space, which opens onto a 100m outdoor wooden platform, and commands excellent views of our beautiful tree-lined lawn.
The Format
House Discopark’s engaging crossover line-ups offer an exciting alternative for tired concert-goers and jaded clubbers alike, combining the spectacle of a live performance with the energy of a packed club to create an entirely new musical experience. It’s a full serve – get more bang for your buck (especially in such tough times) with our double bill of live performance and club night for less than a price of a single concert ticket.
