Lion Air Singapore

Lion Air com

Glanced at an ad in today’s Today newspaper and found Lion Air, which seems a new airline to me. Have you heard of Lion Air before? A brief introduction about Lion Air.

Lion Air started as a one-plane airline that first flew in 2000, and it’s Indonesia’s leading budget airline carrier now with operate 37 planes flying to not only all of Indonesia’s major cities and wondrous tourist destinations, but to Singapore, Penang and Kuala Lumpur as well.

Ok, now you have one more budget airline to choose if you’d like to fly to Bali or Ho Chi Ming city.

Their online reservation does not work. I selected flights, and then attempted to pay, but it took me back to the main page. Yes, I registered, but when I could not remember my password, there was no way of retrieving it.

I laughed when I went to Merpati’s internet reservation page and saw the words “under construction” – but at least they were honest.

I tried calling the reservations numbner in Jakarta, but the line quality was so poor, I could barely hear the person at the other end. (And I thought Indian call centres were bad!)

I will now have to wait until the end of Chinese New Year to find a travel agent in Singapore in order to book the flight.

    Dear Sir,

It is with frustration I write this email to you. I had registered for a ticket to Bali with my daughter. However, when I keyed in my daughters name as Venesha d/o Rajeswari Brown the system refused to accept it due to the fact that my name is Rajeswari Brown hence the name was appearing twice. Now I understand from your stamford office that I have to go down personally to get the name rectified. As I do not have the time hence I applied online and now it is very upsetting that I have to go to your office to revalidate the name. So much time is wasted due to this one transaction. I hope you will have a better system installed instead of causing so much of frustration to your valued passengers. it is not my fault when your system refuses to comply. The system is so inefficient in that case.

I wish Lion Air will make life easier for passengers buying tickets online. Your staff refuses to accept fax or email correspondence. Having paid for my tickets Lion Air is not flexible in it’s transactions. It’s electronic ticket for god sake, why do you make passengers take a trip to your office to rectify a small issue. An Agent would be a better choice than getting into this mess.

    A very upset passenger.

I am trying to book return tickets from Saigon to Baili in April 2010, but when I go to Step 2 of online booking and select my flights and accept the terms and conditions, click go to step 3, it says ‘Incomplete Itinerary’.

What should I do? How do I book the flights? There is no contact email address on their website. Does anyone know if they have an office in Ho Chi Minh City?

I tried to buy an online ticket through your website (singapore to Jakarta) 4 times i’ve tried and rejected by your site saying that my card has some issues. I called up my credit card office and found out that your site has rejected all the 4 attempts, and my credit card is still clear like a bell.
Why you open an opportunity for us to book online while at the end you reject us of paying the booking?….what a dissapointment, a major turn off…

An upset “never again” wannabe pssgr

hi, i frequently flt to chennai by your airlines.
i want to know how can you change the flight date after it is booked?
your telephones – are never picked up, even holding on to half an hour or so!!!!
my complaint is qiute late, i just saw your site for complaints.
I flew to india in dec2009, my flight back was in january 2nd week. suddenly something came up, so i had to change my return date. so i went to terminal 3, and i told your officer on duty ( a lady)( wish i had noted the dates and her name) my problem. my God she was sooo RUDE. she said i cant change !!!!!. so i went to india and bought a differet ticket by another air line.
This is the problem of going by budget!!! atleast other officers in other airlines are polite. Dont know why you dont train them to polite.

I have lost my baggage when I fly from Banjarmasin to Jarkata. I straight away to report at Jakarta. The lion air staff said they had found it and will forward it back to Jarkarta and sent it on the connecting flight back to Singapore.
Guess what, that was more than 3 days ago and I have yet to see my luggage. I write email to their customer care but nobody cares. Best part of all, when I call up Singapore office, they told me that is NOT their problem. I must call Indonesia myself. The staff are practically shouting over the phone.
May be Lion are NOT meant to fly…

    Disgusted customer

I have finally got back my luggage. Thanks to sgcGo blog. Through this website I finally got a contact of Lion Air, Mr. Chandran.

Mr. Chandran is very efficient and professional to get things done. Through him, no pushing around anymore. I got my luggage back in just 2 days’ time.

I would like to thank him personally on this blog. I will still recommend Lion Air if there are more staff like him in Lion Air.
