Announced in February 2009, the $43-million intra-town cycling plan covers 5 HDB towns – Pasir Ris, Sembawang, Tampines, Taman Jurong, and Yishun.
Cycling at Parir Ris
Cyclists and pedestrians in Pasir Ris Town can expect a safer cycling environment in their estate as plans to create a cycling network in the town take shape.
LTA has completed a 1.1km stretch of cycling path in Pasir Ris to connect cyclists from their homes to the Pasir Ris MRT station and bus interchange.
Pasir Ris residents can expect a 13.3km cycling path network connecting residents to the town hub, Pasir Ris MRT station and the bus interchange. Check out Pasir Ris cycling path map below:
These cycling paths complement the existing cycling infrastructure within these HDB towns and facilitate intra-town cycling to transport nodes and key local amenities. In July 2010, Changi-Simei and Bedok towns as well as Marina Bay were incorporated into the programme.
