Sylvia Ratonel is hot favorite in this year’s Singapore Idol 2009 competition; but, Sezairi Sezali beat Sylvia Ratonel to be crowned the winner of Singapore Idol at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Sunday.
8,000 fans rooting for 22-year-old Sezairi Sezali, and yet another for 21-year-old Sylvia Ratonel headed to the Singapore Indoor Stadium for the Singapore Idol finals on Sunday.
The competition kicked off with Sylvia Ratonel belting out the classic hit “Mercy“. Sezairi Sezali performed Jamiroquai’s “Virtual Insanity”, “Crazy” by Aerosmith and “Touched By An Angel”.
The 22-year-old Sezairi Sezali dashed audiences’ hopes of crowning a female Singapore idol and Sezairi wins a recording contract with Universal Music!
Sylvia Ratonel, whose father is Filipino and mother is Eurasian, is the favorite to win this season. I’m her fan; still am.
