Royal Plaza on Scotts (RP) will be flagging off the second Grand Prix in Singapore BREAD TORQUE! RP’s chefs have assembled a life-sized bread race car in its lobby, the first ever ‘dough-inspired’ race car to be created in Asia.

BREAD TORQUE! supports Community Chest, Singapore’s efforts to raise awareness for the charity movement and its beneficiaries. RP has hosted many events before to help Community Chest Singapore raise funds and donations to nurture and provide care for the under privileged.

To participate in the RP/AsiaOne Bread Torque! contest, simply guess the weight of the flour used in creating the life-sized race car pictured above, which falls between the range of 0 – 250kg.

You also need to take a picture of yourself with the bread car that’s on display at Royal Plaza on Scotts! The funkier the better! In the event of a tie on the weight of the flour, the creativity of the photo sent in will be the tie-breaker.

Include your AsiaOne userid, IC number and your contact number. Entries without the above details, including the photo, will be disqualified.

This contest will run from Aug 26 – Sept 23. All entries should be in by Sept 23, 10am. Late submissions will not be entertained. To assemble the bread race car, the chefs used 14kg of water, 15kg of yeast, 2kg of salt and 10,800ml of food varnish. The bread race car will be on display at RP’s lobby from Aug 26 – Sept 27.
