Amazonia in Singapore will take visitors into the heart of the Amazon jungle and will give them firsthand experiences of the sights, sounds, and wonders of the biodiversity of Brazilian Amazon life.
The Embassy of Brazil is showcasing the biodiversity of Brazil and its sustainability efforts in their exhibition Amazonia in Singapore, to celebrate 30 years of bilateral relations between Brazil and Singapore as well as raise awareness of the sustainable development and conservation of the Amazon forest.

The Image of Our Landscape
Event Dates: 3rd Sep 2009 to 29th Nov 2009
Time of Event: 10am – 8pm
Venue: National Museum of Singapore
This National Museum of Singapore originated exhibition will look at the various depictions of 19th century Singapore, examining their meanings and representations. The various works will reveal the topography of the Singapore landscape in the 19th century with views of places such as the harbour, Singapore River, Fort Canning Hill, Raffles Place as well as depict the cosmopolitan trade town and Singapore’s rural scenes.
Taking an approach that is both chronological and thematic, the exhibition will feature about 200 artefacts from the museum’s collection, a significant number of which were acquired in recent years and never before shown.
