Escape Theme Park is Singapore’s largest outdoor theme park and it is located in NTUC Downtown East, Pasir Ris. It was opened in May 2000 and a water park named Wild Wild Wet located adjacent to it was opened in June 2004. Its slogan is “360 degrees of fun” and it is now a non-smoking park.
The Escape Theme Park features an equal mix of thrill rides and family rides. Some thrill rides include a pirate ship, 2 go kart tracks, 1 of which is catered to younger riders, fairground style rides, a walk-through haunted house, as well as the highest log flume in Asia. [click to continue…]
From November 1, 2009, Medisave can be used to pay for pneumococcal vaccination of children.
MOH has accepted the recommendations of its Expert Committee on Immunisation to include the pneumococcal vaccination as the 10th vaccine in our National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NCIP).
The current pneumococcal immunization coverage is about 20% of all newborns. With the inclusion of this vaccine in the NCIP, this will further reduce morbidity and mortality of invasive pneumococcal diseases in the long run. [click to continue…]

With a total land size of 185-hectares, and a scenic coastline that stretches over 15 km, East Coast Park is one of Singapore’s most treasured urban getaways (and my personal favorite).
Themed “Recreation for All”, East Coast Park offers an exciting diversity of sporting, dinning and recreational activities catering to various segments of the public. Bowling alleys, volleyball courts, East Coats Park chalets, restaurants and a hawker centre can all be found in this park. Find out camping permits booking here. [click to continue…]
There are a lot of places we can explore during the weekend. National parks are great places. Today, let’s take a look at Ponggol Park.
Developed with the theme “Family Leisure“, Punggol park has many facilities to cater to the young and old.
- The play and fitness equipment for active recreation
- Open lawn areas for picnics or kite flying
- A wooded area for leisurely strolls
- A plaza area for taiqi
- A community corner for relaxing
The park has two distinctive zones, i.e, the Southern Active Zone where the features for major activities are provided, and the densely forested area in the north of the pond, which forms the “Passive Zone” where one can engage in passive form of recreation.
