The 2009 H1N1 vaccine is now ready to be rolled out to children and young adults aged 10 years through 18 years.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) have reviewed the safety of CSL Limited Panvax H1N1 Vaccine in children aged 10 years to 18 years and are satisfied with the safety profile of the product in this age-group. The H1N1 vaccine will cost S$29 at Singapore polyclinics, said the CEO of Singhealth Polyclinics Dr Tan Chee Beng. Appointments will be set up for those on the waitlist when the clinics finally receive the vaccine.
I will probably get H1N1 vaccine as traveling out of Singapore is not avoidable in the coming year.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has secured supplies from GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) for one million doses of its Influenza A (H1N1) vaccine. This is part of our phased and diversified approach in securing a sufficient quantity of the vaccine for our population. The GSK vaccines are expected for delivery by the end of this year. Hong Kong’s health authorities announced Wednesday that a new variant of the H3N2 seasonal influenza virus had been found in the city.
The Brisbane strain had been the prevalent circulating strain of H3N2 in the past year and the new variant is its direct descendent, said Thomas Tsang, controller of Hong Kong’s Center for Health Protection.
