Singapore Airlines is installing iPod docks and 15.4-inch widescreen LCDs in their all-Business Class Airbus A340-500 flights between NY/LA and Singapore, ensuring that we’re going to be flying with them if we ever have to travel to that part of the world. Each business customer can dock their iPhone or iPod and watch their own movies on the included noise-canceling headphones—which will be interrupting when the captain wants tell you to look off to your left so you can see a drunken Superman mooning your plane.

horse racing festival

Organised by the Singapore Turf Club, the Singapore International Racing Festival will be held from 10 to 18 May 2008 with the Singapore Airlines International Cup and the KrisFlyer International Sprint.

One of the highlights of the Festival will be “Horses in Motion“. For the first time in Singapore, the public can view ten live-sized painted horses (warning: PDF format) decorated based on various themes.

Singapore To Tokyo By A380

tokyo-tower.jpgAre you a fan of Tokyo in Singapore? Here is a piece of good news for you:

The inaugural A380 flight to Tokyo – SQ636 – will depart Singapore’s Changi Airport on Tuesday, 20 May 2008, at 0040hrs and arrive at Tokyo’s Narita Airport at 0830hrs (all times local), on a special schedule to coincide with the 30th anniversary celebrations of Narita Airport.

The return flight, SQ637, will depart Narita at 1300hrs on Tuesday, 20 May 2008. The aircraft will touch down at Changi Airport on the same day at 1905hrs.
