YTL also operates a ready-mixed concrete and aggregates business In Singapore.
To mark the Company’s successful ventures in the Singapore market, YTL is staging its Concert of Celebration 2010 here, sharing the gift of music with the local community.
A strong supporter of the arts, YTL has a tradition of staging free concerts for the public since 1994. The series of concerts have featured some of the most prominent artists. In 2003, the Three Tenors – Jose Carreras, Placido Domingo and the late Luciano Pavarotti – performed against the backdrop of World Heritage City, Bath, to a live audience of over 40,000. The Bath Concert Special was subsequently broadcast on the BBC. YTL’s 50th anniversary celebrations in 2005 saw a free outdoor concert featuring popular classical crossover tenor Russell Watson, accompanied by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, in Sentul Park, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
This edition of the YTL Concert of Celebration brings to the Singapore stage, none other than world-renowned Italian singer Andrea Bocelli. He will be joined by special guests Australian pop singer Delta Goodrem, Slovenian soprano Sabina Cvilak and acclaimed flutist Andrea Griminelli.
