River Hongbao has been Singapore’s annual signature event to usher in the Chinese New Year since 1987. Immerse in the rich Chinese culture and festive atmosphere of the Lunar New Year with the fairyland of lighting decorations, savour mouth-watering food from food street and cooking demonstrations, purchase souvenirs from the handicraft and specialty stalls, have fun at the carnival and enjoy traditional and contemporary Chinese song and dance performances.
Visitors can look forward to majestic, large-scale displays of popular Chinese mythical characters such as the God-of-Fortune, 12 Chinese zodiac animals and many other lighting installations which would provide numerous photo opportunities at River Hongbao 2010 festival.
All these against the specular Marina Bayfront view with firing of firecrackers and fireworks, a visit to the River Hongbao will be a trip to be remembered.
